XBOX — Brand partnership campaigns
XBOX x Dune: Part Two
To celebrate the theatrical release of Dune: Part Two in 2024, XBOX partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment to create a custom XBOX Series S console and a one-of-a-kind ornithopter-inspired controller stand. I led the art direction for the campaign imagery, and the creative answer was straightforward: it's Dune, so you use sand.
Working closely with a photographer, we built a partial practical set, placing the hardware in a real sand environment, then composited in stock background dunes to extend the scene into a fully immersive desert world. The result is imagery that feels native to the Dune universe while staying unmistakably XBOX.
XBOX x Deadpool & Wolverine
For XBOX's partnership with Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine, I helped concept the art direction across a full suite of campaign imagery and leaned hard into the irreverence of the IP. The hero visual features two custom controllers shot from behind, their textured grips dressed up as Deadpool's red suit and Wolverine's yellow costume.
Working directly with a photographer, I executed the design and art directed the full shoot, which included the custom controllers, a bespoke XBOX Series X console, and a custom controller stand. The result is imagery that matches the energy of the film: loud, confident, and instantly recognizable.
XBOX x House of the Dragon
For XBOX's partnership with HBO's House of the Dragon, I helped concept the art direction and executed the final composition. The goal was to showcase the intricately detailed custom console and Iron Throne-inspired stand in a way that truly did the craftsmanship justice.
Rather than shooting on a clean studio backdrop, we built the scene around the world of the show. A dark, stone castle interior with dramatic light cutting through an opening and a layer of atmospheric haze added depth and cinematic weight. The result feels like it belongs in Westeros.
